1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup snap peas, trimmed

3 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Marinate the Beef: In a small bowl, mix the sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, cornstarch, and water until well combined. Allow the beef to marinate for approximately 10 minutes as you prep the vegetables.

    Prepare the Vegetables: Thoroughly rinse the broccoli and cut it into small, bite-sized florets. Slice the red bell pepper into thin strips and trim the ends of the snap peas. Set all prepared vegetables aside.

      Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated beef in an even layer. Sear the beef for about 2-3 minutes, allowing it to brown on one side but not fully cook through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

        Cook the Veggies: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
