1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 1/2 cups grated apples (approximately 2 medium apples)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons melted butter (to grease the pan)

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x5 inch loaf pan by greasing it with melted butter or lining it with parchment paper for easy release.

    Prepare the Apples: Peel and grate the apples using a box grater or food processor. Toss the grated apples in a bowl with lemon juice to prevent them from browning. Set the apples aside while you prepare the batter.

      Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Make sure the ingredients are well blended.
