Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Fresh sprigs of dill (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). To ensure easy cleanup, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped dill, sea salt, and black pepper. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended into a smooth marinade.

Marinate the Salmon: Lay the salmon fillets skin side down on the lined baking sheet. Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously apply the garlic-dill marinade over each fillet, making sure to coat them evenly for maximum flavor.

Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Serve: After baking, carefully remove the salmon from the oven. Allow it to rest for a couple of minutes to retain its juices. Serve the salmon hot, accompanied by lemon wedges and garnished with fresh dill sprigs for a vibrant presentation.

Enjoy: For a well-rounded meal, pair your luscious baked salmon with sides such as roasted seasonal vegetables, fluffy quinoa, or a refreshing garden salad!
