Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef (or substitute ground turkey for a lighter option)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use panko for an extra crunch)

1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (for a hint of flavor)

For the Honey Sriracha Glaze:

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust based on your spice preference)

1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional for added depth)

Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Combine the Meatball Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, beaten egg, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix the ingredients with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Shape the Meatballs: Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet with approximately one inch of space between each meatball.

Bake the Meatballs: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes. The meatballs should be cooked through and have a beautiful golden-brown color.

Prepare the Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil (if using). Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Bring it to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it slightly thickens. Remove it from the heat and set aside.

Coat the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are done, take them out of the oven. In a large bowl, gently toss the warm meatballs in the honey Sriracha glaze until they are fully coated.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving platter. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions for an appealing finish.

Enjoy: Serve these flavorful meatballs immediately as an enticing appetizer, or pair them over steamed rice or noodles for a satisfying main course experience.
