Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped (or 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained)

1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While it heats up, lightly grease a standard muffin tin with cooking spray or olive oil.

Prepare the Dough: Carefully open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean, lightly floured surface. Select the perforations to separate the dough into individual triangles as per the package instructions.

Form the Cups: Gently press each triangle into the greased muffin tin, ensuring the dough wraps around the sides, creating small cups to hold the filling.

Mix the Filling: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended and the mixture is creamy.

Fill the Cups: Using a spoon, carefully fill each crescent cup with the spinach artichoke mixture, ensuring each is filled about 3/4 full to allow space for rising.

Bake: Place the filled muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent dough turns a golden brown and the filling is bubbling with excitement.

Cool and Serve: After baking, remove the muffin tin from the oven and allow the cups to cool for a few minutes. Gently pop each cup out of the tin using a small utensil or your fingers.

Garnish and Enjoy: Before serving, sprinkle each cup with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Serve warm as an enticing appetizer or delicious party snack!
