Ingredients

2 cups fresh pineapple, peeled and diced

1 medium cucumber, peeled and diced

4 cups cold water, divided

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice (for optimal flavor)

2 to 3 tablespoons agave syrup or honey (adjust based on your sweetness preference)

A pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

Blend the Base: In a blender, combine the diced pineapple and cucumber along with 2 cups of cold water. Blend on high for about 30 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.

Strain the Mixture: Take a fine mesh strainer or a cheesecloth and place it over a large pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer, allowing the liquid to flow through while trapping pulp. Gently press down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.

Mix in the Flavors: Once the pulp is strained out, add the remaining 2 cups of cold water to the juice in the pitcher. Stir in the freshly squeezed lime juice, agave syrup (or honey), and a pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Taste and Adjust: Take a sip of your agua fresca to check the sweetness. If you prefer a sweeter drink, gradually stir in more agave syrup or honey until you reach your desired taste.

Serve: If you enjoy your drinks chilled, fill your serving glasses with ice cubes. Pour the refreshing agua fresca over the ice, and finish by garnishing each glass with a few fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch.

Enjoy: Serve immediately to experience the vibrant flavors of this tropical delight and savor every sip of your homemade agua fresca!
