Ingredients

1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade)

1 cup sweet corn kernels (fresh or canned)

1 whole head of garlic

1 tablespoon olive oil (for roasting garlic)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for drizzling)

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cornmeal (for pizza peel)

Instructions

Roast the Garlic:

    - Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

      - Take a whole head of garlic and slice off the top to expose the individual cloves.

        - Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and wrap the garlic head in aluminum foil.

          - Place it in the oven and allow it to roast for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves become tender and develop a light brown color. After roasting, let it cool slightly before handling.

            Prepare the Pizza Dough:

              - If you’re using pre-made dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes to relax. If you’re making your own dough, follow your preferred recipe and allow it to rise until doubled.

                - Preheat your pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to a high temperature of around 475°F (245°C) for approximately 30 minutes to ensure a crispy crust.

                  Mix the Base:

                    - Once the roasted garlic has cooled sufficiently, squeeze the softened cloves out of their skins into a bowl and mash them with a fork until smooth.

                      - In a separate small bowl, combine the mashed garlic with ricotta cheese, the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until the mixture is creamy and well blended.

                        Assemble the Pizza:

                          - On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out your pizza dough to the desired thickness (around 12 inches works well).

                            - Sprinkle a thin layer of cornmeal onto your pizza peel (or the baking sheet) to prevent sticking. Carefully transfer the stretched dough onto the peel.

                              - Spread the garlic-ricotta mixture evenly over the surface of the dough.

                                - Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then add the sweet corn kernels.

                                  - Finish with a generous sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese and, if you like a bit of heat, the crushed red pepper flakes.

                                    Bake the Pizza:

                                      - Gently slide the pizza onto your preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

                                        - Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust achieves a golden brown color and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.

                                          Finish and Serve:

                                            - Once the pizza is perfectly baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute.

                                              - Garnish with fresh basil leaves scattered atop before slicing it into wedges.

                                                - Serve immediately while hot for maximum flavor enjoyment!

                                                  Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 1 hr | Servings: 4

                                                    Optional Presentation Tips:
